In early January a 5-member delegation headed by Prof. Yuan Zhigang attended the ASSA Annual Meetings held in San Diego and interviewed applicants for research/teaching positions at the school. On January 7 the delegation visited UC San Diego. After meeting with faculty members at UC San Diego for possibilities to strengthen the two sides’ cooperation, Prof. Yuan Zhigang and Prof. Hua Min made speeches about China’s economy for the 21st Century China Program at UC San Diego.
